July 23, 2010, Los Angeles. On behalf of TransGuardian.com, Madlene Moseley and Rima Hagopian presented Mr. Garo Keurjikian of Garo Jewelry, Inc. a claim check for $25,000 for a jewelry parcel lost in transit while covered by TransGuardian.com.
Wells Fargo Insurance Services, the largest provider in the transportation industry, brokers TransGuardian.com’s declared value coverage.
Mr. Keurjikian is one of the most prominent and longest-established jewelers in the Los Angeles Diamond and Jewelry District.

Mr. Keurjikian said, “I’ve only had one other loss in 20 years of shipping. I moved to TransGuardian because they saved me good money over the company I used to use. I’m sorry this loss had to happen, but I’m thankful TransGuardian came through.”

NEXT DAY AIR A THING OF THE PAST?
Rising fuel prices will continue to challenge parcel carriers, according to Morgan Stanley Chief Financial Analyst, William J. Greene. “We expect large-scale declines in air volumes and limited ability to raise core pricing as fuel surcharges spike.”
While UPS’s assumption of DHL domestic traffic will help it somewhat, Morgan Stanley is modeling no earnings growth for FedEx or UPS in fiscal 2009.
The next day air market is quickly becoming uncompetitive. If it fuel prices are causing the carriers financial distress, the implications are serious for wholesalers and retailers who rely on them for distribution.
And since higher fuel surcharges mean higher costs of delivery, consumers will start choosing for less expensive delivery options, such as ground or the US Postal Service. I know I do. Once upon a time, I always chose overnight air when ordering books or office supplies online. Now, considering the hefty fees, I figure I can plan ahead a little better and wait three days. Nine times out of ten, as a consumer or business owner, I now choose ground.
That’s why TransGuardian’s multi-carrier software, TransLink, offers four carriers and all services: USPS, UPS, FedEx and DHL – with significant discounts for UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
The United States Postal Service’s Express Mail (overnight), Priority Mail (2-Day), and First-Class Mail is increasingly attractive, because this Federal Agency pays no fuel surcharges and reaches every address in the United States every day.
TransLink also gives you access to UPS, FedEx and DHL 2-day and ground services, which are less expensive alternatives to 2-Day air.
And TransGuardian Freight offers an online freight rater with such carriers as Yellow Transportation, Roadway, UPS Freight, and FedEx Freight, creating significant savings opportunities for shipments over 150 lbs. We offer savings with air, ocean, rail, truck and small parcel.
And we arrange insurance on small parcels worldwide up to $150,000 per waybill and heavy freight worldwide up to $2.5 million per waybill.

TRANSGUARDIAN SAVES JEWELRY TRADE SHOW EXHIBITORS COSTS
In today’s tough economy, with rising gold and diamond prices and tepid consumer confidence, jewelers need the marketing boost of trade shows but also need to cut costs.
TransGuardian, Inc., the leading online logistics and insurance provider to the trade, is making exhibitions more affordable with online insurance coverage to, from, and at key shows like JCK Las Vegas (May 30 – June 3, 2008).
Exhibitors typically pay armored carriers $0.32 per $1,000 for transit coverage to and from and $0.80 per $1,000 for coverage at the show.
TransGuardian offers $0.27 per $1,000 to and from the show and $0.70 per $1,000 at the show – a savings of 15% - up to $5 million, a deductible of only $5,000 (vs. the standard $10,000), war risk, and with only one person (vs. the standard two) required in attendance at the show booth.
TransGuardian members can secure coverage real-time, online, with a full quotation before every purchase, at http://www.transguardian.com/. TransGuardian is exhibiting at JCK Las Vegas (Booth L69) and with Polygon.net (Booth 2146).

YES, YOU CAN USE SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION WITH PO BOXES!
FedEx, UPS, and DHL cannot deliver to PO Boxes.
The USPS can.
And, when shipping valuable cargo, you can use Signature Confirmation when shipping to a PO Box.
The Post Office will simply leave a notice inside the PO Box, asking the recipient to wait in line and sign for your package at the Post Office retail counter.
So you can get a "wet signature" proof of delivery.
With TransGuardian, you can print Priority Mail labels (insured up to $150,000) and First Class Mail labels (insured up to $1,000) with Signature Confirmation -- to any destination, including PO Boxes.
